I saw this episode the other day and it kinda pissed me off. Ash you know who Koffing is. He was with Team Rocket at the very beginning. And you’re from the Kanto region so wtf dude?

He-He forgot what a Koffing was?  Team Rocket had one for at least 3 generations, you can’t be serious.

What the fuck, no. NO. There has been a plethora of newcomers to the Pokemon series since 5th gen started, so yes; it’s necessary to get the newbies acquainted with older Pokemon, but you don’t do that by making Ash forget what the hell that Pokemon he spent so much time battling was. This is just an example of terrible, stupidly ludicrous writing (not to say the original writing was anything outstanding, but usually not this bad).

Honestly, they couldn’t have had another character ask Ash to explain what that Pokemon was?
